ALHAMDULILLAH A QURAAN BOOKMARK WITH THE BASIC RULES OF TAJWEED!
A FIRST FOR ALL RECITERS OF THE HOLY QUR’AAN, ALHAMDULILLAH

TAHDHIB

This is a series of 7 books ranging from Book 1 to Book 7 which encompasses every aspect of human relations and inter-actions as commanded by Allah (SWT) in the Holy Qur'aan and as taught to us by Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).

N.B.    This is a sneak preview of one of our lessons.

HONESTY

To be honest we have to be truthful, fair and sincere at all times.

Honesty means not to speak a lie, cheat or steal in whatever we say or do.
To be honest is a good deed and action.
We must try to be honest in everything that we do.    We must be honest at home, school, madrasah, at work or when we are with other people.    Even a little lie or a small act of stealing and cheating is being dishonest.
Remember! One lie leads to telling many lies.
Allah (SWT) tells us in the Qur'aan in Surah Taubah, Surah 9 Verse 119:

HOW DOES BEING HONEST HELP US?

1.               Honest people are  respected  and  trusted  by everyone.
2.               Parents  are  happy  when they know that their  children  are  honest.
3.               Teachers  are  pleased  with  pupils    that are  honest.
4.               Owners  of shops or factories are  happy  to  employ  (give work to) people who are  honest.

Prophet Muhammad(Peace be upon him)  is reported to have said:

"A DISHONEST PERSON DOES NOT HAVE ANY IMAAN (Faith)"

FIQH & ISLAMIC TEACHINGS

N.B.  This is a snippet of one of our lessons.

IMPORTANCE AND BENEFITS OF SALAAH

Salaah (Prayer) is the most important duty of a Muslim.  In fact, it is the best way of worshipping (praying to) Allah (swt).  Every Muslim must perform their Salaah 5 times a day as taught/shown to us by our Prophet Muhammad  (Peace be upon him).
Allah (swt) tells us in the Holy Qur'aan that reading Salaah regularly keeps a Muslim away from doing bad deeds (things).    In other words, Salaah teaches us to be good Muslims and by being good Muslims we will please Allah (swt).
Reading Salaah regularly helps to make us more aware of our Creator/Maker Allah (swt).
We know that we read Salaah for Allah    (swt) only and that He is watching us and is Aware of whether we are reading our Salaah regularly or not.
Our Prophet Muhammad  (Peace be upon him)  is reported to have said:

"Salaah is the key to Jannah."
[Hadith]

Let us now see what are some of the benefits of Salaah.

1.              Salaah helps us to remember and become    more aware of Allah (swt).
2.              Salaah reminds us that we are the servants of Allah (swt) only.
3.              Salaah is the key to Jannah.
4.              By reading Salaah we show our thanks to Allah (swt) for whatever He has given us.
5.              By reading Salaah a Muslim    gets the Mercy and Help of Allah (swt).
6.              Salaah teaches a Muslim to be punctual (to be on time.)
7.              Salaah makes our belief in Allah (swt) more strong.
8.              By reading Salaah, Allah  (swt)becomes happy with us.

Since Salaah is the best way of praying to Allah   (swt), let us make a promise that we will read our Salaah regularly, Inshaa'Allah.

ISLAMIC HISTORY

This is a series of 7 - i.e. Book 1 to Book 7 beginning from the Birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) to the Khulafaa-e-Rashideen.

Islamic History at IEOSA does not only cover facts and events that have occurred in the past.    The entire syllabus has been designed to make learners look into our past and to improve on our present and future lives.    These textbooks have been prepared as study material for learners and the illustrations serve only as a supplement to the information contained in the books. Parents will also find the textbooks useful when helping their children to study, as they can read and explain the notes to them.
It is our hope that the textbooks in the Islamic History Series will make enlightening reading Inshaa'Allah.

MORALS DRAWN FROM THE LIFE OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD  (Peace be upon him)
Birth of Prophet Muhammad  (Peace be upon him)  to Mt. Safa

Simplicity, Courage & Forgiveness
Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) was simple, courageous and firm in his mission throughout his life.    The Prophet's (Peace be upon him) boyhood was a simple and hard one.    He spent his time mostly in the countryside tending to sheep, and seeking the truth.    During his adulthood he chose    a simple, yet busy career, that of trading. He was prosperous in his travels, and had a firm belief in the truth even when he received his revelation.
He (Peace be upon him) was aware of the hardships that awaited him in the future during his mission to spread Islam.   Although he (Peace be upon him) was going to be a leader of a new nation, he was not proud and lived a simple life.    He (Peace be upon him) did not consider himself to be higher than the other Muslims but worked alongside,    rather than apart and above them.
His (Peace be upon him) strong courage and firmness came from his faith and belief in Allah (swt).    He did not fall trap to the bribes from the people who wished for him to stop his mission.    He (Peace be upon him) knew that nothing any human offered to him could ever be better than what the Almighty had given him.
So he firmly and courageously refused lavish gifts and wealth without the slightest doubt in his (Peace be upon him) heart.

SURAHS AND DU`AAS

This series compiled for Grade 1 to Grade 7 provides selected Surahs from 30 Juz (chapter) of the Holy Qur'aan, as well as Du`aas for daily use found in the Sunnah.    A noteworthy feature is the summarization at the end of each surah which will prove invaluable in giving the learner an insight into the Holy Qur'aan. Together with the Arabic text and translation of each supplication, the etiquettes and virtues as contained in the Sunnah is also provided.

N.B.    Sneak preview of a lesson.

LIBRARY RESEARCH AND RESOURCE CENTRE

The first word that Allah(SWT) had revealed to Prophet Muhammad(Peace be upon him) through Angel Jibra`eel (A.S) was IQRA - READ.

Surah Al-Alaq (96), Verses 1-5
1. Read! in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher Who created
2. Created man out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood:
3. Read! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful
4. He Who taught (the use of) the Pen
5. Taught man that which he knew not.

It can be seen from the above statement that the very first word which was revealed from Allah(SWT) to mankind, through Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)  was to READ.  Allah(SWT)  has emphasized reading, studying, research and the application of the knowledge that we have to fulfil the role of being vicegerents on earth.
Our library therefore plays a very important role in the organisation.    We have research material in different languages.    Some of our reference books go back several years and therefore have become a collectors item.
Our library research centre can be regarded as our nerve centre in view of our policy of constant research, improving our publications, as well as providing resource material in the various educational programs of the organisation.

Magazines, reports, newsletters and constant purchase of new resource material, Alhamdulillah helps us to keep abreast of time primarily in the field of education.  We will highly appreciate it if you could help, by donating to us books, articles, periodicals, magazines, newsletters, and / or audio/visual resource material.
